concept selected for new SPJST cookbook cover Winning
Congratulations to Eva A. Heiman of Lodge 88, Houston for submitting the winning cover design concept for the new SPJST cookbook now in the works. For her efforts, Ms. Herman received a $100 cash prize. "The SPJST expresses its appreciation and thanks to Ms. Herman and everyone who participated in the contest," says Supreme Lodge SecretaryTreasurer Lanita Anglin, who coordinated the contest and whose department is compiling the cookbook. A total of 31 cover ideas were received. The entries were judged by a Temple area print and broadcast professional "It's going to be quite a book," says Sister Anglin. The volume will include between 900 and 1,000 recipes. "We hope to have the cook-
book ready for sale by the first of next year," she says. "In the meantime, reprints of our first volume, the SPJST Anniversary Cookbook, are in stock," says Sister Anglin. Since it came out in 1997, nearly 25,000 copies of the first volume have been sold. The book is $11 per copy, which includes postage and handling. Discounts are available on volume orders.
