NAFIC honors James Bacak, Karen Kaspar at national convention The National Association of Fraternal Insurance Counselors (NAFIC) honored SPJST sales representatives James Bacak, FIC, of Lodge 40, El Campo-Hillje and Karen Kaspar, FIC of Lodge 30, Taiton at their 53rd National Convention held recently at the Gold Coast Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. Brother Bacak received the FIC of The Year award. The recognition is presented to sales representatives for outstanding fraternal insurance sales of superior quality, persistence, volume, and service. The award is also based upon adherence to and practice of the FIC code of ethics and fraternal spirit. Bacak was the overall top producer in the state of Texas for SPJST in insurance written for 2002 along with producing more than $2 million in sales. Sister Kaspar received the Agency Builder's Award which is awarded to fraternal field representatives. Kaspar's award recognizes distinguished service in recruiting and training agents resulting in increasing volume of quality business and overall agency progress. Insurance Counselor's (FIC) program. Kaspar is a State Field Representative for the District Six region of SPJST which includes approximately 60 sales agents and representatives. The 2002 year for District Six was highlighted with record-breaking applications written, insurance written sales, and earned premium volume. SPJST Supreme Lodge VicePresident Gene McBride, FICF, commended Brother Bacak and Sister Kaspar for their outstanding service to SPJST membership and for receiving their respective honors.
