SPJST State Golf Tournament this weekend in Temple

Jim King named District Two State Field Representative

The SPJST will be sponsoring its first-ever State Golf Tournament October 12 and 13, 2002. The tournament is for SPJST members, family and friends. The scoring will be individual play and flighted based on your handicap. There will be three divisions of play: Youth Division (Ages 16-18); Ladies Division; and a Men's Division. The number of entries will determine the number of flights in each Division. Since this is our first tournament we do not have an established handicap for anyone. So in order to properly flight every one, players will need to do one of two things:

Jim King has been selected as the new. State Field Representative in District Two. Jim has been in the fraternal life insurance industry for many years and will put that experience to work for the SPJST. A member of Lodge 187, Round Rock. Jim and his wife, Betsy, have five grown children and 10 vandchildren. When asked if he has any hobbies, Jim replied Jim King that he enjoys hunting, fishing, and golf but plans to make the SPJST his prime focus and "hobby." We're excited to have Jim on board with us and know he will be a definite asset to District Two. Jerry Kucera was previously assigned to both Districts Two and Three and will now work exclusively in District Three. You can reach Jim on his mobile number (254) 534-4967; or pager (866) 259-8104. "We must continue to work together to keep the SPJST growing with new members. We have wonderful incentives in place for Vision 2002 to reward lodges members, officers, sales representatives, youth leaders, youth members, and Home Office staff, but we must meet the 2,100 goal again. " — Gene McBride Supreme Lodge Vice President
