concern ouer their welfare are good reasons wto keep one's life insurance contract in good standing. But sometimes, even the most well-planned insurance program becomes outdated. For that reason, it's a good idea to occasionally review your certificate and see if it still fits you changing needs. That's where an SPJST sales representative can help. When you're ready to review your present coverage, give your local lodge sales representative a call.
married Joe Genzer, Sr. and moved to her present location where she has lived for 74 years. She and Joe, Sr. had three children, Joe, Jr., Annie B. (who married Julius Hanzelka) and Bill. Of the three children, only Bill is still living. Asked about her long life, Sister Genzer said it came from hard work, avoiding fatty foods, not drinking any alcoholic beverages, getting plenty of rest — going to bed the same time as the chickens at sunset and rising at sunrise — and eating plenty of garlic. After her husband, Joe, Sr., who at age 49, passed away in 1944, Sister Genzer held her family together and continued to farm the land that she and her husband owned and worked, with the help of her three children. Today, she still takes care of herself, does housework and cooks. She gave up gardening some years back due to arthritis in her knees. Sister Genzer's only living child, Bill, was asked if he followed the same life style, to which he replied that on an A, B, C, etcetera scale that he would be around a C — as he still likes his beer every now and again. Although Bill Genzer retired from Quanex Corporation's Gulf States Tubing in Rosenberg, Texas, after 36 years of service, he, like his mother, keeps busy. Today, he works as an auctioneer with Shattuck Auctioneers of Austin, Texas which specializes in medical equipment. This keeps him busy and traveling throughout Texas including all states bordering Texas and Mississippi. To celebrate, the occasion of Sister Genzer's 96th birthdate, a small group, at her request and representing the Supreme Lodge and the local lodge visited with her at her home and brought some gifts from the local lodge to mark the occasion.
