La Grange receives $200,000 LCRA grant to develop Texas Czech Heritage and Cultural Center amphitheater The Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA), a conservation and reclamation district established to improve the quality of life in Central Texas, has announced a $200,000 grant to the city of La Grange for the development of the amphitheater at the Texas Czech Heritage and Cultural Center (TCHCC) in La Grange. The grant will help to build a $2 million, open-air amphitheater, to be located in a natural cove on a hillside of the 70acre Texas Czech Heritage and Cultural Center. Overlooking a 60mile vista including La Grange and the Colorado River valley, the performance facility will be the first amphitheater on the Lower Colorado. "The LCRA welcomes the opportunity to support the Texas Czech Heritage and Cultural Center as well as furthering economic development in La Grange," says Gale Lincke, LCRA director from Fayette County - La Grange. "As a performance venue for music, theater and dance, the amphitheater is a vital addition to the quality of life in this area.
