SPJST posts "qualifying" member certificates written through August With four months to go in 1998, several SPJST have written sufficient member certificates to qualify for one of the 1998 Lodge Recognition and Incentive Awards. For their efforts, lodges participating in the Lodge recognition and Incentive Award Program are working to achieve one of six lodge awards. Recently crowned 1998-99 SPJST State Royalty participated in the September 5 Wesffest parade and cultural program. Pictured above, District Four Director Stanley Broz, in the driver's seat, and Supreme Lodge President Howard Leshikar chauffeur King Jonathan Haag of Lodge 185, New Braunfels and Queen Jennifer Block of Lodge 160, San Angelo in a white convertible, courtesy of Westside Motors of Hillsboro. Duke Chase Jaroszewski and Duchess Rachel Schwartz marched in front of the car, carrying the SPJST banner. Afterwards, the young people and their families visited the fairgrounds where they enjoyed the various ethnic exhibits and performances and a warm welcome during their introduction at the cultural amphitheater. The next royalty appearance is September 25 at the Comal County Fair parade. They will also appear at the Texas Fraternal Congress in Austin on October 24.
