Newly Designated District Five FICs honored. at Houston banquet Congratulations to the 16 newly certified Fraternal Insurance Counselors (FICs) who were honored at a banquet held July 29 in Houston. Since the FIC designation was first awarded in 1937, the privilege to put those letters behind one's name has been a hallmark of professionalism for sales representatives and home office fraternalists. The District Five graduates, who began their studies in May of 1997,

The 1998 Membership Drive started January 1 and will continue through December 31. It provides us with an excellent opportunity to examine our changing needs and to help our volunteer sales force and spread the word about SPJST insurance. At the same time, we can communicate with others, news of what our local lodges are doing to improve life in our communities. Through these kinds of discussions, we can help attract new members to our fraternal order.
