Thirty-year mortgages—you've been asking for them — and beginning immediately, SPJST will be offering 30year mortgage loans. During the Supreme Lodge meeting, approval was given to begin making 30-year mortgages with an interest rate of 7.50 percent, which the rate is subject to change. In addition to offering 30-year mortgages, the Supreme Lodge members approved the financing of four-plex apartment buildings and unimproved lots or acreage. Another benefit to borrowers is our application fees have been lowered. _ Picking the right title company can also be very important. If a borrower would like to have some help with this process, the SPJST legal office will be glad to contact the title company and advise them of the loan requirements. Borrowers will just need to send us a letter stating they would like SPJST's legal office to assist with the process. I feel the addition of these changes to our mortgage loan program is a positive step and will be very beneficial to our members. If you would like more information or to receive a mortgage loan application, give us a call and a chance to make your mortgage loan. Our WATs line number is (800) 727-7578. Didn't get your SPJST Cookbook the first time around? Here's a second chance... Back. By popular demand. It's the SPJST Centennnial Cookbook. At their recent meeting, the SPJST Supreme Lodge opted to place another order for the cookbook. "So, if you have not yet purchased one of these fabulous cookbooks, here is your chance," says Supreme Lodge SecretaryTreasurer Lanita Anglin, who is in charge of cookbook sales. "We expect the books to arrive around the middle of June," she says, suggesting that purchasers place their order now to ensure that you get the books you need. As in the past, the cookbooks will be selling for $ l0 each, which includes shipping. Lodges ordering the cookbooks will be able to purchase them at a reduced rate but will need to make arrangements for their delivery. For cookbook ordering information, please see pagel4. —SPJST-
