Aperson's love for spouse and children and concern over their welfare are good reasons to keep one's life insurance contract in good standing. But sometimes, even the most well-planned insurance program becomes outdated. For that reason, it's a good idea to occasionally review your certificate and see if it still fits your changing needs. There are essentially two things that can cause an individual or a family to outgrow their coverage: (1.) A change in family status due to a marriage, birth or death; and (2.) Inflation. Sometimes, a marriage, death, birth or divorce may affect the original beneficiary and settlement arrangements as outlined by the certificate. It's a good idea to check and see if the arrangements you made when the certificate was purchased are still okay, or will the insurance proceeds be going to the wrong people—or he paid out in a way that makes little sense ..

'98 Membership Drive The 1998 Membership Drive started Januaryll and will continue through December 31. It provides us with an excellent opportunity to examine our changing needs and to help our volunteer sales force and spread the word about SPJST insurance. At the same time, we can communicate with others, news of what our local lodges are doing to improve life in our communities. Through these kinds of discussions, we can help attract new members to our fraternal order. Something Extra As an added incentive, members who recommend at least two new members in 1998 will have the opportunity to earn a variety of SPJST promotional items. See opposite column for membership drive guidelines and a listing of the premium incentives that are being offered. Your active participation can help to make this year's membership drive a success. —SPJST-
