SPJST officials spur centu of growth and development Reform and innovation are
healthy processes and they are what keep the SPJST growing.
From its earliest days, the democratic process has been an important part of the growth and development of the SPJST. The supplement, which was included with the Sunday, July 6 Temple Daily Telegram, tells about the SPJST and the important role it plays in the community and throughout the state of Texas. The 40-page publication presents articles on the SPJST's conception, growth and current operations and features related to Czech culture and history. It also includes a summary of SPJST Bestfest activities and a schedule of the July 12 - 13 event. The keepsake edition, a cooperative effort of the Temple Daily Telegram and SPJST, is being mailed to all Vestnik subscribers. Vestnik readers can expect to receive the Centennial Extra within a day or two of receiving this week's Vestnik.
Belton Expo Center Awaits Bestfest Festivities

The Bell County Expo Center, located just south of Temple off Interstate 35 in Belton, will be the scene of this weekend's MIST Bestfest. The two-day celebration marks SP.IST's 100th anniversary and will include a range of games and contests, musical performances and cultural presentations. Northbound travelers will take the 292 Exit to access the center; southbound travelers will also take the 292 Exit.
