On Saturday night, May 10, production and persistency awards were presented to outstanding agents and field managers, including several SPJST members. State Field Manager Gene McBride received the 1996 Agency Builder's Award for distinguished service in recruiting and training agents and for special recognition for promotion of the FIC (Fraternal Insurance Counsellor) program. Assistant to the Vice President Kathy Fritz was recognized by the field division of the NAFIC as the outstanding FIC during 1996.
