Red, White and Blue and You

Lodges pay tribute to "Everyday Heroes" Although we can never truly repay our volunteers for their efforts, we can express our appreciation to them. That's the basis for the SPJST Red, White and Blue Everyday Hero Award. Members who have completed 25 or more fraternal acts over a twelve month period become eligible to receive a personalized certificate signed by the Supreme Lodge President and local lodge president. Members who complete 50 or more fraternal acts will receive a certificate and an SPJST pen. Members reporting 100 acts of fraternal service receive a cert:::.2,,11::.. pen and an attractive lapel pin. An ideal time to honor our members is during National Fraternal and Volunteer week held annually the second week of April. Still, it's never too late. If you want to recognize your members for their volunteer efforts in 1996, please submit their IFS (Individual Fraternal Services) forms to the Home Office. In turn, we will provide you with the certificates, pens and pins and you can select an appropriate time to honor your members. A listing of lodges and members who participated in the 1996 program appears to the right of this article.

"Thank you for keeping our lodge halls clean, friendly and open for community service all year iround.
