Lodge 25, Ennis members invite you to join with them as the lodge celebrates 100 years of progress and growth on May 3, 1997. The gala event kicks off with barbecue dinner at noon, followed by performances by the Sulak Brothers Band, Vrazels and Mikulas. Featured appearances by the West Czech Dancers are also scheduled. Pictured above is a 1947 photo of the old lodge hall which burned in 1970. The current lodge hall was dedicated in 1971. See page 5 for additonal Lodge 25 100th anniversary information.

Make plans now to enter SPJST Centennial contests Local lodges and youth clubs are encouraged to reserve their free booth space at the SPJST Bestfest and 100th Anniversary Celebration set for July 12 and 13 at the Bell County Expo Center in Belton. The area will be approximately 10' x 10'. Tables and chairs can be rented from the Expo Center and additional space will he available at the rate of $50 per day for a 10' x 10' booth. Paid spaces are also available to lodge members with something to sell or promote. To reserve a booth space or for additional information, please contact the President's Office at 1 (800) 727 - 7578.

Golf Tournament Details on the SPJST Centennial Golf Tournament have been finalized and golfers are encouraged to start registering their teams to compete. The tournament, which will take place on Saturday, July 12, will be played at the Sammon's Park Golf Course in Temple. There is a $40 per player registration fee
Hard work? Maybe -- yet very much appreciated by the residents of S.P.J.S.T. Rest Home No. 1 in Taylor. This group of day care students from the Seventh Street Day Care Center in Taylor made a recent visit to the rest home where they presented a spring fashion show for residents. Youth and adult groups are always welcome at both the S.P.J.S.T. Rest Home No. 1 in Taylor and S.PJ.S.T. Rest Home No. 2 in Needville.
