Anna Holubec was born in Williamson County to Joe and Mary (Holan) Slovacek, on April 26, 1900. She had four sisters and one brother. She married John Holubec, son of Joe and Annie (Ondrasek) Holubec, on June 26, 1923, at the Taylor Brethren Church. Services were performed by the Rev Joseph Barton, Sr. To this union were born three sons, Marvin, Joe (Jody), and Alvin. Joe and Annie farmed all of their lives.
