SPJST introduces Senior Life insurance How much is your life worth? And how much did you insure it for? Two tough questions. Questions that get even tougher as you get older. Now, thanks to SPJST's new Senior Life Insurance Plan, we may have some answers for you. In November, the SPJST Insurance Department unveiled its newest insurance product aimed specifically at the age 50 - 80 group. "We're very excited about the new Senior Life Plan," says Supreme Lodge Vice President Leonard Mikeska. "We designed the plan for those people who know they need more life insurance but don't want the bother of doctors examinations, tests and a lot of red tape." If you can correctly answer "No" to all of the general health questions, and subject to underwriting guidelines, you will be eligible for an SPJST Senior Life Level Benefit certificate with immediate full death benefits upon approval. "And, even if you can't answer 'no' to all of the general health questions, you may still be eligible for the SPJST Senior Life Graded Benefit," Vice President Mikeska explains. "This alternate plan provides a full death benefit after the first three certificate years—except in the case of accidental death, in which case the full amount is payed." For the past two weeks, SPJST volunteer sales representatives have been attending classes on what is projected to be a very popular new offering.

"I don't know how many times I've heard from our members over 50 wanting to purchase additional, affordable coverage," Vice President Mikeska says. "So many of these are good, longtime members who signed up thirty, forty or even fifty years ago with a $1,000 certificate. It's a good feeling knowing that we can do something to help give these people additional coverage and the peace of mind that comes with it." Some of the features of the new Senior Life Insurance Plan are as follows: • From $5,000 to $15,000 of life insurance coverage; • Issued ages 50 to 80; • No medical exam or blood test required; • Application and brief health questionnaire help determine if you are eligible; • Premiums do not increase; • Coverage continues for life so long as premiums are paid; • Accumulates cash value • Certificate loan benefit available For additional information on the new Senior Life Insurance program see the back page of this week's Vestnik, or contact your local lodge sales representative. If you're unsure who that may be, please call the SPJST Home Office, toll free, at 1 (800) 727-7578. —SPJST-

Supreme Lodge President Leonard Mikeska, right, explains the easy application process for the new SPJST Senior Life insurance plan to Brother Jerry Valchar of Temple. Brother Valchar, who is a member of Lodge 87, Temple, is past president of Farmers Mutual Protective Association (RVOS).

Father Harr) Bilski, right, visits with State Fraternal Activities Coordinator Frank Klinkovsky at the SPJST Home Office. Twice in November, Father Bilski, who is a chaplain at the Olin E. Teague Veterans' Center in Temple, dropped by to make contributions to the SPJST 100 Pennies Scholarship Drive. Father Bilski, who made the donations in the memory of his good friend, the late Supreme Lodge Vice President Bernie Gebala, challenges all SPJST members to "contribute to this worthy cause."

Nine new scholarships!

How about you? Will you accept the 100 Pennies challenge? Middway through the SPJST's 1995 100 Pennies Fund Drive, a total of $4,830.09 had been collected. "That's great," observes State Fraternal Activities Coordinator Frank Klinkovksy. "That's already nine additional scholarships that we'll be able to award next year. Thanks to all who have already given." To those members and friends of the Society who haven't participated in this year's scholarship, drive, you've been challenged! In his visit to the SPJST Home Office last week, Father Harry Bilski, who is a chaplain with the Olin E. Teague Veterans' Center in Temple, encouraged others to join in the fundraising effort. "I want to challenge all of my brothers and sisters to support the SPJST scholarship program in whenter way they can. "In the 37 years since my ordination, I've had many opportunities to work with young people ... Young people are wonderful. When we are able, we should help them. The SPJST Scholarship Program provides us with an easy way to do that." Father Bilski is right. It's very easy to participate in the SPJST 100 Pennies Scholarship Drive. Asa matter of fact,

your ticket to participate in this year's fund-raising effort appears at the bottom of page 14 of this week's Vestnik.
