Exquisite costumes have special meanings

Sister oudek worked closely with the SPJST in her effort to preserve the meaning of the kroje. The SPJST Museum in Temple includes a large collection of dolls dressed in a variety of kroje donated by Sister Houdek. (Continued on page 4) rr.

Matthew is a member of Lodge No. 6, Cottonwood and a graduate of Penelope High School. His parents are Mr. and Mrs. Gary Beseda and his grandpaents are Mrs. and Mrs. Andrew Beseda and Mrs. Ruth Krizan. Matthew plans to attend McLennan Community College this fall and possibly Tarleton State University.
Shawn is a member of Lodge No. 180, Burleson and a graduate of Burleson High School. His parents are Robert and Kathy Smajstrla and his grandparents are Bob and Doris Smajstrla. Shawn will be attending Louisiana State University this fall where he will be majoring in advertising.

Dawn is a member of Lodge No. 148, Blessing and a graduate of Wharton County Junior College. Her parents are Neil and Barbara Johnson and her grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie Nedbalek and Mr. and Mrs. Chester Jensen. Dawn, who graduated with an associate degree in business plans to work and eventually go back to school to get her bachelor's degree.
Derek is a member of Lodge No. 92, Fort Worth and a graduate of Western Hills High School. His parents are Donald and Georgia McBain and his grandparents are Louis Kubala and Mary Kubala (deceased). Derek is planning to attend college and will be entering the medical field.
