Mrs. Emilie Lubojacky, member of SPJST Lodge No. 139, Danbury, Texas, was born September 23, 1896 in Fayetteville, Texas to Joe and Frances Uherek, who immigrated to this country by ship from Czechoslovakia into Galveston, Texas. Sister Lubojacky is from a family of ten children, seven brothers and two sisters; eight are deceased and a sister, Augustine Orsak lives in Alvin, Texas. As years went by she met her husband, Lewis Lubojacky, deceased September 28, 1982. They made their home in Needville, Texas where all seven of their children were born: three sons and four daughters, ages now ranging from 65 to 75 and all but two are members of SPJST. They are Raymond Lubojacky and wife Annie of An-
gleton; Elsie Kadera and husband Emil of Angleton; Lillie Krampota of Iowa Colony; Edward Lubojacky and wife Ruby of Alvin; Libbie Jez of Angleton; August Lubojacky and wife Marion of Hallettsville; and Edna Kundel and husband Keith of Houston. In 1928 they moved from Needville to Iowa Colony. The Lubojackys made a career of farming and ranching. Sister Lubojacky devoted her life to raising her family and going to church. She remembers very well the days of horse and carriages and has seen many changes in our country since those days. She now resides at her home north of Alvin, Texas where she and he husband spent enjoyable retirement years,
gardening and keeping up beautiful flower beds. Three of her daughters alternate being with her. Lillie and Libbie each spend a week at a time at her home then she journeys to Houston to spend a week with Edna, who takes care of her business matters and does the shopping for her. From time to time she enjoys watching television and listening to Czech music on the radio. Sister Lubojacky recently transferred to Danbury Lodge No. 139 from Iowa Colony Lodge No. 162. She was honored at a recent Lodge No. 139 barbecue and presented her Age 96 Certificate.
