SPJST STATE STRAIGHT DOMINO TOURNAMENT was held at Lodge No. 24 in Cyclone and you can see by the members' concentration that they were serious about winning.

Lodge No. 24, Cyclone was the site for the 8th Annual Straight Tournament. There were forty-eight enthusiastic players from 12 lodges representing all parts of the state. Local Lodge No. 24 President LaVerne Cabla and State FAC Frank Klinkovsky welcomed the players and wished them all "Good Luck." District I Director Andrew Vavra and District II Director Willie E. Kohutek were recognized for being present. After three games were played, a delicious noon meal was served by Lodge 24 - Cyclone. After the meal,
five more games were played by everyone and the top five teams advanced to the playoffs. The top teams revealed that it was necessary to have a playoff because there was a tie for first and third places. After the playoffs the winners were as follows, and the 1st three places carried home the trophies: 1st Place Team: Bob Bayer and Joe Pavliska, Lodge No. 107, Floresville 2nd Place Team: Kenneth Moore and Ernest Ofczarzak, Lodge No. 186, Caldwell 3rd Place Team: Gladys Hejl and Glen Paul, Lodge No. 17, New Tabor 4th Place Team: Robert Seith and George Pauling, Lodge No. 66, Waco 5th Place Team: Johnny Klecka and Mark Michalka, Lodge No. 47, Seaton My sincere thanks to all who have taken the time to play and support this (Continued on Page 9)
