Sales Workshop Held At The Home Office

A sales representative workshop for Continuing Education was held recently at the Home Office on February 11, 1992. SFM Gene McBride, along with District 2 Director Willie E. Kohutek, conducted the workshop. SFM Gene McBride instructed sales representatives on the many types of SPJST insurance plans available to current and prospective members according to age groups and needs. He also discussed the different target groups for insurance sales. Although continuing education for fraternal organizations is not required
by the Texas State Board of Insurance, SPJST requires its agents to take six hours of classroom education per year to remain in active status and to better serve the members. Sales workshops such as these also enable the field force to enlist the efforts to the lodge officers in assisting their sales representatives to obtain new members for their lodges.
