A sales representative workshop for Continuing Education was held recently at Lodge 88, Houston. SFR Helen Hegwood, along with District V Director Louis Hanus, conducted the workshop. SFR Helen Hegwood instructed sales representatives on the many types of SPJST insurance plans available to current and prospective members according to age groups and needs. She also discussed the different target groups for insurance sales. Although Continuing Education for fraternal organizations is not required by the Texas State Board of Insurance, SPJST requires its agents to take six hours of classroom education per year to active status and to better serve the members. Sales' workshops such as this also enable the field force to enlist the efforts of the lodge officers in assisting their sales representatives to obtain new members for their lodges. If you would like to get more information, please call one of the sales representatives listed on the back page. Each one is qualified to assist with your needs.
