Sales Contests Held In Districts VI/VII (More Photos Elsewhere)

winner in District VII was Monta Foster of Lodge 31 in Yoakum. Con gratulations to both of you! Your ef forts on behalf of the Society and the efforts of the other sales repre sentatives who participated in this en deavor are deeply appreciated.
Participating sales representatives in Districts VI and VII recently spon sored sales contests in their particular district to "Gin Up" some competitive spirit among one another. SFR Jerome Hlavaty monitored the contest which was based on most insurance written from May 1-31, 1991. SFR Hlavaty, District VI Director Matt Vanek, and District VII Director Thelma Hrncir originated the district contests with in itial deposits into the cash awards. Each sales representative which also donated participated in the contests and worked diligently to achieve the goal of most insurance written for May for their district. The winner in District VI based on most insurance written for .May was James Bacak proudly displaying the James Bacak, sales representative for cash award of $36.~0 he received as Lodge 40 in El Campo-Hillje, and the contest winner for District VI.

LUBBOCK -- Recently, Sister Al bina (Bartos) Macha was honored by District IV Director Stanley Broz on behalf of the SPJST Supreme Lodge, with a Certificate Award presentation for outliving her policy at age 96. She was a dedicated member of longstand ing at Lodge No. 157, Lubbock. Born 30 January 1895 in Flatonia (Fayette County) Texas to Marie Sem bera Bartos and Simon Bartos, she no doubt has beautiful memories of her parents living in Fayette County. Her father was born in Ceske Bucl ~;ovice, Czechoslovakia and came to this country with his parents at age 17, went to school for 2 years to learn
