Moulton Lodge Elects New Officers

Vrazels' Polka Band Returns From Washington, D.C. The Vrazels have been busy this summer performing as part of the "Ac­ cordian Kings" program, which is put on by Texas Folklife Resources. "Accordian Kings" is a program which celebrates different cultural traditions of accordian music that came together in Texas to make its own outstanding unique form of music, and features Czech Polka, Texas-Mexican Conjunto, Cajun and Creole Zydeco music. The Vrazels have just returned from Washington, D.C. where they gave two performances on Saturday, June 15 at

the Kennedy's Center for Performing Arts. Other bands peforming were Flaco Jimenex y Su Conjunto, Little Willie Davis and the Zydeco Hitch Hikers and Jackie Caillier and the Cajun Cousins. While in Washington, D.C., the Vrazels stayed at the Wyndham Bristol Hotel located on Pennsylvania Avenue. They also received back-stage passes to a concert put on by the group, The Texas Tornados. Before departing from Washington National Airport on Sunday, the Folklife Staff treated the band with a tour of the city. The next "Accordian Kings" perfor­ mance by the Vrazels will be on Friday, July 12 at 7:30 p.m. at the Aus­ tin Opera House located at 200 Academy Drive in Austin.
