William J. Duckett Reaches Age 96 Brother William J. Duckett celebrated his 96th birthday on Oc tober 28, 1990. He was born in New York and placed in the New York Foundling Home and later was adopted by the Holesansky family in Ellinger, Texas. Although, he couldn't speak the Czech language and they couldn't speak English, he made his home with them until he reached the age of 17. In his early years, Brother Duckett worked in cotton gins, in a saddle shop and whatever type of work he could find to make a living. Brother Duckett married Anna Hrus ka of Fayetteville, Texas in 1915 and to this union five children were born, namely, J.J. and L.L. Duckett, Virginia Belt, Abie Brownshaded and Willie Mae Armstrong.

In addition to his family, Brother Duckett has eleven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. His two sons, JJ. and L.L. Duckett became lawyers and Abie Brownshadedwas a school teacher for thirty years. His wife, Anna Hruska Duckett, passed away in 1966. He is now mar ried to the former Dorothy Woytek who celebrated their 23rd wedding an niversary on October 28th, which is also Brother Ducketťs birthday.
