Marie V. Janac Celebrates 96th Birthday Wednesday, October 28, 1987 officers and members of Lodge No. 9 Snook gathered with family members and friends along with District I Director Andrew Vavra at the home of Mrs. Marie V. Janac to celebrate her 96th birthday. Sister Janac was born on September

5, 1891 in Snook, Texas, the daughter of Joe and Annie (Mikula) Junek. She had six brothers and three sisters. One brother John A. Junek now resides in a rest home in College Station, Texas. One sister, Mrs. Annie Kulhanek, resides in a rest home in Bryan, Texas. The other brothers and sisters are no longer living. Sister Janac has lived all of her 96 years in Snook. As a young girl, she lived on the farm with her family and helped with all the chores. She was (Continued on page 3)
