First Place Winner in SPJST Second State Taroky Tournament is Albert Kubala of Lodge Ft. Worth No. 92.
Second Place Winner in SPJST Second State Taroky Tournament is Ed Jansen of Lodge Taylor No. 29.
Third Place Winner in SPJST Second State Taroky Tournament is Lydia Jansen of Lodge Taylor No. 29.
Fourth Place Winner in SPJST Second State Taroky Tournament is Henry Kubala of Lodge Ft. Worth No. 92.
On Saturday, March 7th, forty SPJST members from all over the state met for the second Annual SPJST State Taroky Tournament. The setting and beautiful day could only be surpassed by the hospitality that was shown to everyone by hosting members of Lodge 17, New Tabor. The tournament began promptly at 10 a.m. with a noon break for a delicious home - cooked meal of turkey, dressing and trimmings provided by Lodge 17.
By mid - afternoon a group of eight advanced to the semi - final round. The semi - finalists were: J.J. Kubala, Albert Kubala, Louis Kubala, Henry Kubala, Lydia and Ed Jansen, Carol Petty and Leona Zella.
