Fannie Maresh Celebrates 96th Birthday At 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 20, 1986, SI'JS I- members and friends gathered at lodge No. 9 in Snook, to celebrate the 96th birthday of Fannie (Sebesta) Maresh, who was born on July 20, 1890 in Snook Texas, the daughter of Mary (Skrabanek) and John M. Sebesta. She had four sisters and two brothers, two sisters died in infancy. Sister Maresh lived on the farm with her parents. and helped with all the Farm chores and field work. She also took in sewing and did a lot of embroidery work. She worked in the Burleson County Tax office in Caldwell, Texas for several years. Sister Maresh enjoyed participating in community singing and-taking part in plays. She was married to John Maresh of Taylor, Texas for 18 years. They lived w h her parents on the farm. After her husband passed away in 1955, she continued living alone on the farm. In 1961 she moved to her new home on ra banek St reet , Snook , Texas, where she now resides. She is a member of Lodge No. 9, Snook, the Snook Brethren Church and is a Charter member of the Christian Sisters' Society. Sister Maresh lives alone and still attends church services regularly, enjoys singing, attends all the senior citizens' activities in the community and loves to have company. Seaton Lodge Honors 50 Year Members

SPJST Lodge No. 47, Seaton honored their 50 - year members for 1986. The 50 year pins were presented by Supreme Lodge Financial Secretary Jerry Mikulas [standing in the backgroung].
