Anna Zett Celebrates 96th Birthday

Lodge 187, Round Rock May Fete Queen Elected • Anna Zett Sister Anna Zett celebrated her 96th birthday March 17, 1986, at the Blue Bonnet Nursing Home located in Granger, Texas. She is a longtime member of SPJST Lodge No. 20, Granger. Anna Zett was born March 17, 1890 in Granger, Texas. She was one of eight children born to John and Rosie Grossman. One sister, Lillian Horsak, lives in Granger; another sister, Amelia Janak, lives in Round Rock; and one brother, Rudy Grossman, lives at the K'Way Kare Nursing Home in Holland. Two sisters and three brothers have passed away. Anna Grossman Zett married John Zett in 1906, and they made their home on a farm. Mr. Zett was engaged in the occupation of farming. His hobby was playing a musical instrument. Mr. Zett passed away in 1948 at age 64. The marriage of Anna and John Zett was blessed with eight children. The five living children are Helen Naizer, Emanuel Zett, Frances Johnson, Albert Zett and Abraham Zett. Three daughters, Sybil Stasny, Mary Feely and Lorine Mokry passed away. She also has 11 grandchildren and 24 great - grandchildren. The Supreme Lodge SPJST and the members of SPJST Lodge No. 20 extend congratulations and best wishes to Anna Zett and wish her well. Miss Stormi Hobbs was elected the 1986 May Fete Queen March 23rd. The 17 - year - old Hutto High School student is the daughter of Doyle and Judy Hobbs. Miss Hobbs is active in high school where she served as the Freshman Class vice president, Sophomore Class president and the Junior Class vice president. She also was chosen as Homecoming Duchess, Band Sweetheart and Class Favorite. The new May Fete Queen enjoys dancing, horseback riding and is an active member of the Brushy Creek Baptist Church. Stormi is currently the 1985 May Fete Princess and will begin
her reign as Queen May 18th. The 1986 Lodge 187 May Fete Princess is Miss Lori Nelson of Taylor; her parents are Wilbert and Gladys Nelson. Mrs. Sharon Holman and Deborah Rohlack were recently voted as the new youth club leaders for Lodge 187. The next lodge meeting was set for April 27th at 3 p.m. A "Tip Party" was planned to be held immediately following the lodge meeting. All members were requested to bring a dessert. Fannie J. Luksa March 31, 1986 Sister Fannie V. Luksa was 84 years young. She celebrated her birthday at home with her family and friends. Sister Luksa is still very active and takes care of her own business with a little help from her three sons, A.J. Luksa, Clint Luksa and John Luksa. She has a lady, Geraline Green, living with her. Geraline is encouraged in her piano lessons by Fannie and she also attends them with her. Sister Luksa was married to A.P. Luksa for 60 years before he passed away in September 1984. Sister Luksa is a member of SPJST Lodge No. 186 in Caldwell and still sends news to the Vestnik. Congratulations, Sister Fannie V. Luksal

son, Councilman Raymond Skrabanek, at her bedside at the Jacinto City Health Care Center. Mayor Mike Blasingame, in attendance, presented Mrs. Skrabanek with the Proclamation. Mrs. Frances Skrabanek was born in Taylor, Texas to Mr. and Mrs. J.F. Peter 2 April 1888. The Frank Skrabanek family are Czech pioneers and the family was accepted into the Texas Czech Heritage Society Archives; reasoned by Robert Janak of Beaumont, Texas, a member of the Texas Czech Heritage Board. The Frank Skrabaneks, at one time, lived in Highland and Crosby, Texas. They had four children, who live in the area. The Jacinto City Council composed of Milton Lusk, Cecil McKibben, Doug Presser, Quien Morris and Raymond Skrabanek honored this Proclamation at a recent council meeting.
