the married John Lanicek, 5 August 1914, in Taylor, Texas. He died in 1950. They farmed in the Ad Hall and Clarkson communities. She was a housewife. Sister Lanicek received her laturalization papers May 31, 1928. She has been a member of SPJST for 72 years, joining October 11, 1914. Sister Lanicek has two children living, Lillie Reynolds and Emil Lanicek, one grandchild and two great - grandchildren. One daughter passed away in 1928 and one son passed away in 1978. The Supreme Lodge SPJST and the members of Lodge No. 89 extend congratulations and best wishes to Sister Lanicek on this special occasion and wish her well. Appreciation is expressed to Sister Lillie Reynolds who helped plan the celebration for her mother , and to Willie and Adeline Kohutek for preparing this article and taking the pictures. Jannie Lanicek Celebrates 96th Birthday Sunday, April 6, 1986, Sister Jannie Lanicek was honored with a birthday party at the home of her daughter and son - in - law, Lillie and Edwin Reynolds in Cameron, Texas. Friends and relatives were present. District II Director Willie E. Kohutek, represented the Supreme Lodge SPJST, and presented a Certificate of Recognition to Sister Lanicek on the occasion of her 96th birthday.

Rosebud Lodge No. 89 presented Sister Lanicek with a beautiful bouquet of flowers. Jannie Lanicek was born April 11, 1890 in Ostravice, Moravia to Josef and Mary Kott. She was one of eight children. Sister Lanicek came to Galveston, Texas in April 1907 with a sister and brother - in - law. They traveled to Taylor, Texas and then to Corn Hill to an uncle who lived there.
