SPJST Supports Czech Heritage

Lodge 88 Houston Contributes To Worthy Cause

SPJST "42" Domino Tournament Winners

A check for $500 from the SPJST was presented to Mrs. Julia Pochobradsky, Czech language instructor at Saint John High School in Ennis, by District III Director Sid Pokladnik. These funds are for the teaching of the Czech language.

Dallas Members Honored

A check for $1,500 from the SPJST is being presented to Ben Maca, president of Southern District Sokol, by District III Director Sid Pokladnik.

Thirty - Five year members of Sokol are Sid and Justine Pokladnik pictured with Josef Ehrenberger, president of Sokol Azka - Dallas.

On October 12 an enthusiastic crowd gathered at Lodge 15, Buckholts for the 1985 SPJST "42" Domino Tournament. All participants and guests were treated to a day full of friendly a competition, socializing and delicious home cooked meal provided by Lodge 15. As always in any contest there are only a few winners, but in this case we feel that all who participated were winners. 1st place was won by Lodge 65, Crosby, represented by Jerry Prochazka and A.J. Pavlik. In 2nd place was Lodge 80, Holland, represented by Frankie Pajestka, Sr. and Frankie Pajestka, Jr. In 3rd place was Lodge 47, Seaton, represented by Daniel Hejl and Joe Kohut. We have now completed our straight and "42" tournaments and we feel that both tournaments were a tremendous success. Not only did the tournaments bring on some friendly competition between fellow lodges, but also restated our closeness as an organization. I want to thank all who worked hard to make these tournaments a
