Lodge No. 9 In Snook Honors Members

Receiving 50 year membership pins were Sister Tracy F. Jakubik [left] and Sister Ella J. Orsak. Lodge President Richard Vajdak [center] made the presentations during their lodge's annual chicken and dumpling supper held recently in Snook.

Lodge 49, Rowena Holds Successful Project For the past nine years, these industrious Rowena area ladies have been involved in an ambitious project for the Texas State Festival of Ethnic Cultural Arts and Crafts Show in Ballinger. They make kolache, a Czechoslovakian pastry, to sell at the Czech booth at the Ethnic Festival. The entire production of the kolache has taken place in the Pat Tomlinson

The Supreme Lodge has authorized a domino tournament for all SPJST members 18 years and older. There will

This year, under Mrs. Tomlinson's leadership, the crew made over 200 dozen kolache and netted a profit of $1,130 for their SPJST Lodge No. 49 in Rowena. The games will be held at different times enabling members to participate in both types of play. The first part of the tournament will be held at the local lodge level with the winners advancing to the state playoffs at a site yet to be determined. We believe that this will be a great opportunity for lodge members to come together for fun and relaxation.
