SPJST Proud To Sponsor Kids And Christmas On KNCT-TV Music, drama, laughter and fantasy — you'll find this and more as Public Television KNCT, with the help of SPJST Fraternal Life Insurance presents a full schedule of holiday entertainment. The Snow Queen: An Ice Ballet is a beautiful and unique program featuring Olympic medalists John Curry, Dorothy Hamill, Toiler Cranston, Janet Lynn, JoJo Starback and Sandra Beezec who bring this classic Hans Christian Anderson fairy tale to life, Monday, December 3rd at 8 p.m. Every year as Christmas approaches, Santa receives thousands of letters from children in Central Texas. This year he asked KNCT to help share those precious letters with everyone in "the Best of Texas." So, KNCT's remote crew will visit him at the North Pole, and Santa will read the letters on camera. If your children would like for KNCT to carry their letters to Santa, they can send them to KNCT, U.S. Hwy. 190 W, Killeen, Texas before December 7, because Santa's Mailbag will air Wednesday, December 12 and December 19, at 4:30 p.m. A Stableboy's Christmas is a fantasy about a selfish little girl who is transported back in time to the first Christmas, a must-see for all those little ones who ask "is that all?" Monday, December 17, 12:30. Yeshua reveals ancient customs and beliefs not afforded by ordinary holiday dramas concerning the birth of Christ, a unique program airing Monday, December 17 at 1 p.m. and Christmas Day at 2 p.m. The Littlest Angel a holiday favorite for kids of all ages airs December 19 at 1:15, it returns to remind us all that the gift of love is the best gift of all. Thursday, December 20 brings The Drum a musical production of the little drummer boy's story in song at 12:30. Scrooge follows; this classic Dickens tale is put to music airing at 1 p.m. "God Bless One and All!" The countdown continues as Saturday, December 22 offers three delightful Christmas stories beginning with Christmas Is at 2 p.m. This story is about Benji who is transported across the centuries to the time of Jesus' birth (also airs Christmas Day at 9:30.) Saturday's specials continue with The City That Forgot Christmas.

BROTHERHOOD

Sebastian Cabot, Charles Nelson Reilly, and Louis Nye star in this new classic at 2:30. Sunday, December 23 welcomes What Child Is This at 10 p.m. for those wide awake eyes who always say "but there's no school tomorrow!" At last it's here, Christmas Day! Retelling the story of Rumplestilskin, a fairy tale brightly animated and put to music 12:30. The finale, Velveteen Rabbit is seen through the eyes of children as told to them in a Christmas setting at 1:45 Christmas Day. Twelve delightful children's tales to ensure the Spirit of Christmas lasts all year all made possible through a grant from SPJST Fraternal Life Insurance. San Antonio Donates To A Worthy Cause

A Charitable Contribution— Lodge 133 Officers (L to R) Secretary Dominic Netek, Treasurer Viola Mazac and President Emil Matula are presenting a $1,500 check to Mr. Paul Herder, president of the Bexar County Welfare for the Child Abuse and Neglect Program benefit in the San Antonio Regional area. A final report and the distribution of funds from our Song/Dance Festival which was sponsored by Lodge 133 had been completed. The project was very successful and, as chairman of the festival, I would like to publicly thank Cochairman Emil Matula and all the other chairmen of the various booths, all the members and nonmembers who helped so much to make this project worthwhile. The many members from the other fraternal organizations — the KJT, KJZT, SVPS and RVOS have displayed outstanding fraternalism between all the organizations.

We have proved once again that, regardless of how large the membership is in your lodge, if you set your mind into doing something that you believe in, you will not fail, therefore, we encourage all our smaller lodges to do likewise. This is a project highly recommended by our Supreme Lodge, and we want to thank our District VII Director Sister Thelma Hrncir for encouraging us to undertake this project.
