SPJST Allocates $300.00 to the St. John Czech Department Several family members were present to celebrate Sister Marie Setek's 96th birthday. Presenting Sister Setek a lifetime membership certificate is District V Director, Louis Hanus. Louis Hanus also serves as vice chairman of the Board of the Supreme Lodge SPJST.

The SPJST Supreme Lodge of Temple, Texas, allocated $300.00 to the Czech Department of St. John High School. The money is to be used for the purchase of Czech records, tapes, music sheets, dictionaries, library books and film strips. The Czech language is presently being taught at St. John on the seventh grade and high, school

levels. Not only are the students learning of their rich heritage, they are also learning to speak, read and write the Czech language. The faculty and students of St. John High School, in Ennis, Texas, are extremely grateful to the SPJST Supreme Lodge for its generous donation which will help them in their studies. —SPJST-

Sister Marie Setek Outlives Policy Sister Marie Setek of Dayton attained the age of 96 September 24, 1984, and became the 71st person in the history of SPJST to outlive the actuarial table of her life insurance policy. In a special program at her home on her birthday, District V Director Louis Harms presented Sister Setek a lifetime membership plaque. Sister Setek was honored by

the presence of numerous members of her family and several officials of SPJST Lodge No. 65, in addition to Brother Hanus. Mrs. Vlasta Marek, vice president of Lodge 65, extended congratulations in behalf of the local lodge. Afterwards refreshments were served by Mrs. Rose Dlouhy, (Continued on page 3)

District V Family Day Our district had a very wellattended and successful Family Day at Lodge 88 October 7th. Lodge 88 Choral Club and Czech Concert Orchestra entertained before and
