Dear Brothers and Sisters: Thanks to the delegates of District V of the XXIV Convention for electing me your director. My pledge is to be heard whenever and wherever the interest of the SPJST needs to be served. You can expect me to be impartial in dealing with all issues and individuals, recognizing that there are at least, two sides in all disputes. Thanks, again, for allowing me to serve as your District V director.
Dear Members and Friends: I want to thank the District II delegates and members for the support and friendship you all gave me at the XXIV Convention in Corpus Christi by electing me as your District II director. I will be available for constructive comments for the betterment of our Society and hope to meet many of you members throughout the state during my term. I also am looking forward to working with the six other directors and Supreme Lodge officers. Thank you, again, for the confidence you have put in me.

On the return trip from the SPJST Convention, your editor and family stopped by the County Courthouse at La Grange to see and took a picture of the "Historical Marker" erected there in recognition of the founding of our SPJST Society.
