Danbury Lodge Donates $500 To City Park

President V. J. Hechler and Secretary Tommie Lostak recently presented a $500 check to the Danbury Skrabanek City Park on behalf of the Danbury SPJST Lodge No. 139.
The park is being renovated and new facilities are added. Helen Filipp Financial Secretary.
SPJST Makes Contribution To UT
District III Given Recognition
SPJST District II Director Henry E. Vitek recently presented a $1,000 SPJST contribution to the University of Texas. The funds were presented to Franti gek W. Galan, assistant professor at the University of Texas at Austin who teaches in the department of Slavic languages. The contribution was made under the special program authorized by the XXIIIrd SPJST convention for institutions teaching the Czech languages.
Director Sid Pokladnik is holding an appreciation award from the Texas Department of Human Resources, for the many contributions given by several lodges within the district to the Child Abuse and Neglect (CNN) Program, at the members' District III meeting held April 29th at Lodge 6 in Cottonwood.
