DHR Recognizes The Efforts Of The SPJST

Special guests were Erwin M. Dabbs. Regional Administrator of Texas DHR (Region 6) in Austin, standing at left and Mr. Dan Bullock of the Governor's Office of Community Leadership, standing next to Jerry Haisler.

Lavenie Hoelscher, and Joyce Kasberg did a beautiful job serving from the refreshment table. All the members of the Supreme Lodge received certificates for their efforts in promoting the Child Abuse Program in Texas. They are pictured here with Messrs. Dabbs and Bullock.

The lady on the extreme left in the striped dress is Harolyn Moreau, also with the Regional Office of DHR, who has been very instrumental in working with the SPJST Home Office with the Child Abuse Program.

Two beautiful cakes were on display and were enjoyed by all those in dt tendance. The cakes were baked by Mrs. Joyce Kasberg, Temple area caterer.

A special plaque wa., presented to the Supreme Lodge of the SPJST through its president, Nick A. Morris. by Mr. Erwin Dabbs, Regional Administrator of the DHR, on the right. (See accompanying report for text of plaque.)

A special certificate of appreciation was presented to the SP.IST Supreme Lodge through President Morris by Mr. Dan Bullock. (See accompanying report for text of certificate.) Wednesday, April the 11th, the obby of the Home Office building was the scene of a happy gathering of officials of the Department of Human Resources (DHR), representatives from the Governor's Office, members of the Supreme Lodge SPJST and numerous Temple business and community/civic leaders. The gathering was the occasion of recognizing the efforts of the SPJST in its works and efforts to aid the Abused Child Project in localities around the State. The occasion was coordinated between Jerry Haisler and Harolyn (Continued on Page 3)
