Congressman Leath Receives Leadership Award
(
Congressman Marvin Leath has been presented the 1984 Leadership Award from the United States Congressional Advisory Board of the Coalition for Peace Through Strength in recognition of the leading role he has taken on a variety of national security issues before the US Congress. The award was presented to Congressman Leath by Helen Adams, National Vice President, American Legion Auxiliary, at an award reception in Washington. Many of Leath's colleagues and 850 members of the US Congressional Advisory Board from across the country were present at the reception. (Brother Leath is a member of Lodge No 47, Seaton—Editor).
MAY IS FIC MONTH President Jean Farmer, of the National Fraternal Congress of America, has issued a proclamation declaring May as "FIC Month." No group is more deserving. FICs spend many hours studying insurance and fraternal history to provide our members with the best possible service. FICs meet demanding sales and persistency requirements. FICs uphold, the high standards of the FIC Code of Ethics and are a credit to their Societies as well as the entire life insurance industry. The

The outstanding Brother and Sister for 1983 awards were presented during the lodge's 74th anniversary celebration held March 11th.
Sister Ondrusek. We are proud of you! The "Brother" award was received by Brother Adolph Salac, very much to his surprise. This is the very first at Lodge 84, for a brother to receive the award for a second time. He is very proud and thankful for this recognition. Brother Salac is the House Committee chairman now and also the past several years, plus a past president and vice president. Congratulations are in order for Brother Salac!
The "Sister" award went to Sister Timpy Ondrusek. She is the substitute youth leader and is very involved with our youth program. Sister Timpy is the wife of our president, Brother Joseph Ondrusek, so she also gets quite involved with lodge activities. Congratulations to
