This will be the front cover of the book. It is difficult to judge a book before it is printed, so I thought the next best thing would be to give you a glimpse of what the cover of the book will look like, plus a few of the lead pages. The accompanying photos show the Cover, Title Page, page bearing the Dedication, Author's Notes, Introduction and Acknowledgements, and Table of Contents. The publisher allowed us a look at these pages and while there may be a few changes, we feel this is pretty close to what will finally appear.
This is what the Title Page should look like. The SPJST logo on the cover will probably have some color in it. The contents of the book are just about complete and another review of the contents took place on November 28th. Then in. the January meeting of the Supreme Lodge, final approval will most likely be given to the project and the publisher will be told how many copies to print initially. Everyone realizes how difficult it is to "sell" something without seeing it and a book is no different. I personally feel that those interested
in the book will purchase it without hesitation once they see the finished product. The accompanying pictures are the best we can do at this time. Please continue returning the Survey Order Form for the book which appears in, just about every issue of the Vestnik. We think you will be more pleased with a hardcover than the paperback, but that decision is up to you at this stage. Libraries, for example, will accept only hardback books to be placed on their shelves, and we do intend to donate a number of these
books to libraries that we feel would like to have them and where we wish to "spread the good word" about the SPJST. The publication of this book should end, once and for all, the query that we hear from time to time, "What is the SPJST and what do the letters stand for?" Footnote.
