**•****************** ******************** Fraternal Affairs SFM Elected Texas Section Fraternal Congress Officer ******************** ******************** Lodge No. 186, Caldwell, hosted a Child Abuse and Neglect program for area lodges Sunday, November 13 at its lodge home following its regular monthly meeting. Presenting the program were Thelma Hrncir, SPJST project co-ordinator, District Director Ben Trcalik, assisted by Charles Jenkins, Region 6 Program director, and five supervisors from the Texas DRH. An interested group made up of representatives from Snook, New Tabor, and Caldwell attended the presentation and participated in the discussion which followed Any area lodges which were unable to attend are invited to contact Mr. Charles Jenkins at Phone No 409-823-0921 (Bryan), who will supply information, needs, and has agreed to meet with local lodges to explain how they can become involved in this statewide project. A nice refreshment hour was prepared by the ladies of Lodge 186. Local arrangements were handled by Sister Faye Gail and President Clint Luksa.

A schedule of upcoming Child Abuse and Neglect Programs is Dec. 17 — Lodge 185, Cibolo Park, New Braunfels, 6:00 p.m.; Jan. 4 - Lodge 32, Victoria, 7:30; Jan. 23 - Lodge 29, Taylor, 7:00 Jan. 15 - Lodge 66, Waco, 2:00. I wish to thank everyone who is helping to make this Child Abuse and Neglect Project a success, but this is certainly not the only charity our lodges are asked to support. Whatever need you are filling is good; just remember to keep good records of the amount of money, time, and services you give, and be sure to report your activities in the Vestnik.
