might be interested. —Richard S. Wahlberg * * Saturday, May 6, we started out on a trip to Corpus Christi, to Lodge No. 79, for the District VII meeting to be held the next day — May 7th. We realized that it was approximately a trip of 800 miles there and back, and risking that in one day is tiresome and also questionable, however, we arrived there just as the meeting was being convened. The weather was nice with overcast skies both days that made traveling more pleasant. In Schulenburg, we asked Brother and Sister Johnnie and Edna Shimek of Lodge No. 88, Houston, to join, us and that gave us a little time to visit en route since so many of our weekends are devoted to our Sidciety's affairs. The meeting was not as well attended as could have been, however, all in all , the afternoon session had a fairly good attendance. We will not go into details because District VII Secretary Betty Jurica and Brother John Stasa, will cover the meeting well, we are sure. After a very good dinner at noon the meeting reconvened at 1:30 and lasted until about 4 p.m. Quite a number of old-timers were present whom this writer has known for 30-40 years and you
