FROM THE EDITOR'S DESK District DI had its fall meeting Sunday, August 14th, at Lodge Praha No. 29, Taylor, and, as is usually the case in that district, the fall meeting was made rather short so that most of the afternoon could be devoted to the youth and their entertainment with games and whatever they wanted to do and that was mainly swimming which most of them decided to do. The meeting was called to order by District II President Monica Ivicic and the district officers gave their reports; all were brief and complete, including District II Director Vitek and District II Sales Representative Lad Zatopek. SI, Financial Secretary Jerry Mikulas, Jr., made a brief report for the Supreme Lodge. While at the meeting we had the pleasure of being introduced to Mr. Engelbert Tork and his wife Helen of Vienna, Austria, and his brother Rudolph Tork of Praha, (Prague) Czechoslovakia. They are halfbrothers of Brother John Adamek of Granger, who is the father of Brother Edwin Adamek, president of Lodge No. 29, Praha. Brother John Aciamek introduced us and related that his father died soon after he was born and his mother married Mr. Tork, the father of his two half-brothers. All three of the visitors were very interesting conversationalists and were happy to be among such friendly and fraternally-inclined people. They were
