held Sunday, July 31st at Lodge No. 25„ Ennis. The day was nice and bright, and the hottest day of July for this year, so everyone present enjoyed the air-conditioned coolness of the hosting lodge.

District III had two YADs this year one for arts, crafts, talent, etc., and another for royalty. The program was very nice and all of our youth participating were rather well-versed on their speeches and presentations. All were wellreceived and, as is usually said, there really were no losers. Brother Albert Banik handled the MC diutieS !while District In Youth Counselor Kamas and District III Director Pokladnik handled their appropriate duties and functions.

There were some members present who were disappointed because of the light attendance and a few expressed the opinion that probably District III should return to a one-day YAD for both events.

Of course, the weather was sultry, whieh may have caused many to stay home; however, despite the heat, all in all, it was a nicely spent afternoon.

From Lodge No. 25, after the program, we stopped by Lodge No. 135, Ennis where yours truly had some business to take care of and it was after their meeting so we met some of their very hospitable members in their private club.

The great men and women of the past have given up a treasury of ideas that deserve to be kept alive through our speech and writings. They have proved themselves through their works, and being able to quote from them automatically strengthens our own words.

NEWSBRIEFS Official ground-breaking ceremonies for the new lodge home construction for Lodge No. 178, Longview, are set for Sunday, August 21st. Construction on the new facility will have started and gotten under way by that time. Representatives from the Supreme Lodge will be present for these ceremonies. * * Mynar Family Reunion The Mynar family will have its reunion at the American Legion Hall in Caldwell on August 14th.

This is a recording of the Chorus' performance on Wednesday evening of the last convention.

• • Pavelka Reunion The annual family reunion of the Joseph and Marie Pavelka descendants will be held Sunday, Sept. 4th at the SPJST Lodge 35 in Elk, near Waco. Each family is asked to bring food, as in the past; enough for themselves and any guests they bring. Registration will begin before noon, with a meal served at noon, and a short meeting in the afternoon. Dancing will be from 8 to 12 with music by the Pavelka (arch of Robstown. —Helen Pavelka • Student Honored Diane Gajdica, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Laddie A. Gajdica of Plano, has been named to Baylor University's Dean's Distinguished Academic Honor List. The honor came after Miss Gajdica posted a perfect 4.0 grade point average during the 1977 spring semester In addition, she was elected treasurer of Alpha Lambda Delta, national freshman honor society. Diane is a member of Lodge No. 130, Dallas.

FROM THE PRESIDENT'S OFFICE SPJST History Dear Brothers and Sisters: In the recent July meeting of the Supreme Lodge, the decision was made "... that President Morris be appointed to write and prepare the History of the SPJST . . ." The decision was unanimous.

Brothers and Sisters, as I told the Supreme Lodge after the above decision was made, I am deeply honored and humbled by their decision and I pledge that I will do my very best to turn out a firstclass chronicled history of our Society. I have always strived to do the very best when I undertook something and this will be no exception.

Let us take a brief look at some background information on how this all came to be. You will recall that in the last convention on the afternoon of the last day (Thursday), a delegate of Lodge 79 Corpus Christi, "Bro. Monta Foster made a motion that the Supreme Lodge have the authority to appoint someone to write a history of the SPJST. Louis Hanus (88) seconded it. Alvin Nesuda (25) recommended that President Nick Morris be appointed for this job." Further clarification was that it be started immediately and be up-to-date by the next convention.

This matter was addressed in the first meeting of the Supreme Lodge after the convention in July, 1976, when I read excerpts from the convention minutes about this matter. Subsequently, the decision was made that Honorary President Marek be designated to write a history of the SPJST, with "the Mull cooperation and assistance from the Home Office for clerical help." Additionally, there were other stipulations and conditions set forth in that July meeting.

After the July meeting, Brother

Marek and I got together and an empty filing cabinet in the vault was designated to hold whatever material was to be accumulated for the writing of this SPJST history. He placed the key to that filing cabinet in the top drawer of my desk. It is there to this day.

In the subsequent weeks and months we conferred frequently about the project and I assisted him in writing letters in the Vestnik appealing for certain information from our lodges and members, according to his wishes.

In the October meeting of the Supreme Lodge, Brother Marek reported on the progress he had made in writing the history of the SPJST. He said that he would continue gathering information during the first six months of 1977 and then begin assembling the material and writing the history.

About a week before Christmas, Brother Marek was confined to a hospital here in Temple. On one of my visits there, he and I again discussed the history project for the SPJST. In the January 1977 meeting it was reported that Brother Marek had been confined to the hospital and was recuperating at home. He visited the Supreme Lodge meeting m Tuesday afternoon and stated that he was very happy that he could be present.

In the April meeting of the Supreme Lodge, Brother Marek visited again and gave the board another progress report on the SPJST history.

I had met with him two or three times since his first confinement in December, and the matter of the SPJST history was discussed briefly. The last time that I, Bro. Mikeska and Bro. Mikulas saw Bro. Marek again was about three days before he expired.

Very soon after Bro. Marek had been appointed to write the history, I proffered the suggestion that he might want to start with an outline of the book and he was pleased to have that suggestion, but it is not known whether he intended to use an outline or not.

After the recent decision in the July meeting, I went into the filing cabinet for the first time since we had selected it together almost a year ago. I found a small collection of letters, convention

4 brochures, one bound volume of Vestniks, and a few miscellaneous items, including pictures.

• * I plan to start work immediately on this project, however, I call attention to the fact that a little over a year has gone by since the convention decision and from what I can conclude from what I see, Bro. Marek did not have time to commit anything to paper or make a start on the actual writing of the history. In the meantime, the Almighty, in His infinite wisdom and mercy, saw fit to take Bro. Marek from us. The work must now be done by others.

At this time, I request THAT YOU PLEASE NOT SEND ANY UNSOLICITED MATERIAL, THAT IS, MATERIAL OR INFORMATION THAT HAS NOT BEEN ASKED FOR I will soon be in touch with individuals and possibly lodges for the information that I will be seeking. Please understand that proceeding in this manner will make it much easier, rather than be flooded with material for which we do not know the ultimate disposition.

I enjoy doing historical research and have done enough of it in the university and since to be confident that I am equal to this noble task that the Supreme Lodge has assigned me. Of course, my duties as president must and will have top priority, but I do not forsee a problem. I anticipate that the finished product will have appropriate pictures and the necessary illustrations to depict the complete history of our Society, up to the time that the finishing touches are put on it, possibly by the convention in 1980 or the latter part of that year. I will also be studying the completed histories of other fraternal organizations.

The resources are available, both written and human. The task now will be to sift through, assemble and correlate this information. I believe I know where the sources are and I will proceed in getting data methodically and in an orderly fashion. I only ask that when I send requests to individuals, lodges, or groups, that they respond at their earliest convenience. I will endeavor to make my requests as clear as possible. I will be asking your help. This is a sizeable, but not impossible task. It will be OBJECTIVE — a historical

work. As I told the Supreme Lodge, history is generally not recorded by those who make it, but rather by later chroniclers of history, using available resources. The bibliography will be extensive. *

Proceeding with the outline concept, the following is the outline that I recently completed for this project. Members of the Supreme Lodge have been mailed advance copies of this outline. Please note that it is subject to some revision by additions or deletions.

All suggestions will be given consideration, but the final decision must be made here.

Finally, another portion of the recent decision of the Supreme Lodge involved making the manuscript subject to Supreme Lodge approval. That's good and it is my hope I can have manuscript installments ready for the Supreme Lodge in each quarterly meeting.

My recommendation will be that some copies of the book be published with a hard cover.

Brother Jaroslav Kleprlik, as early as the 1956 Convention in Temple, wrote the lead article in that convention issue, entitled "Let Us Record the Work of the `SPJST Nutnost Sepsini Dgjin SPJST." In that article, among other things, in the Czech language, he wrote the following and I quote: "If we plan to write a history of the SPJST, we must not delay; we must start immediately . . . We need a history, particularly for those who will come after us.

We are speaking of a chronological history, to include actual events of significance for posterity and coming generations to study, to learn from, and as a source for the successful management of all that they will inherit after us . . . The past is a good teacher and the present is the cradle of our future. It is essential that we leave our successors a detailed history of the SPJST, from the day it was founded up through the current growth and development — a history from which they could easily understand the significance and purpose as to why the SPJST was founded in the first place . • ," I am sure that this matter was on other people's minds before that time, and even that previous efforts had been made in this direction. The fact remains that the

decision to write a complete history of the SPJST came out of the XXIInd Convention in Waco, and in pursuance of the mandate of that convention, the Supreme Lodge has taken action to see that the idea finally becomes a reality.

REPORTS DISTRICT I SALES REPRESENTATIVE'S REPORT FOR MAY & JUNE, 1977 The insurance sales for the months of May and June were 47 members in the amount of $218,500 and 32 members in the amount of $191,000 respectively, for a total of $1,395,015 for the first six months of this year.

Top sales representative for May was Sister Josephine Shenkir, of Lodge 189, selling I member for $50,000 insurance. Top sales representative for June was Sister Mary Ann Novosad, also of Lodge 189, selling 9 members with $74,000 insurance.

We would like to take this opportunity to extend our sympathy to the family of Brother Calvin Shenkir, Lodge 189, who passed away recently, the result of a tragic auto accident. We also want to wish his wife, Sister Josephine Shenkir, a speedy and complete recovery.

On Sunday, July 17th, I had the privilege of attending and being a part of the Chartering Ceremonies of Lodge 189, Bryan-College Station. I know this new lodge will be a tremendous asset to District I . LODGE NO. 6, COTTONWOOD Dear Readers: Lodge No. 6 held its August meeting Friday night, July 29, at 8:30 p.m. Youth members Denaria Perez and Lanette Hykel led the membership in reciting the pledge of allegiance to the flag. Denaria then said the SPJST pledge.

We had 19 members present at this meeting, and two guests: Denise Polansky and Denise Kutscherousky. All reports were given and approved as read. Vice President Robert Dobecka, who presided over the meeting in the absence of President Johnnie Krizan gave a report on the results of our annual picnic held July 17th.

In her youth report, Sister Schuetz said the youth would be going to the rest home on August 10th. They will have a booth at the West Fest and will participate in the parade. Sister Schuetz gave a report on the youth profits from our annual picnic. She reminded the members that State YAD would be in Temple on September 25, and Lodge No. 6 had several youth members participating in this event.

Youth birthdays for the month of August include Karen Ilykel, Shirley Dobecka, Delores Dobecka, Larry Hromadka, Donna Rieger and Denaria Perez. Darrell Uptmor brought the cake.

After the adult meeting the royalty: King Eddie Hykel, Duke Terry Hykel, Queen Denaria Perez and Duchess Lanette Hykel, read their speeches for the Royalty competition.

The financial and treasurer's reports were read by Mrs. Margaret Hrabal, and they were also accepted by the members.

There were 8 new members examined by the board. Brother Gordon Hrabal made a motion to accept them into our lodge; it was seconded by Mrs. Jasek. Our new members include Mr. and Mrs. Prazak, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Dorsey, Mrs. Francine Armer, Mrs. Margaret Roberts, and two of the Hardin children.

Brother Gordon Hrabal made a motion for the president of our lodge, Brother E. Jasek, to contact the Supreme Lodge about when it would be convenient for them to charter our Lodge 185.

Wednesday, August 10, 1977 Mrs. Sadie Stiba, members of Lodge Praha, No. 29, Taylor, who live in New Braunfels, were present at our meeting, and Mrs. Zipp told the members that she would help in every way she can to make this lodge grow.

Brother Hrabal talked to her about getting some more new members and she gave him some names he could contact about joining the SPJST; but first he is going to Florida on a 2-week vacation and when he returns, he will contact Mrs. Zipp and the prospective members, so our lodge can continue to progress. by President Douglas Williams. All officers answered roll call, followed by the reading of the minutes by the secretary, which were approved as read.

The treasurer's report and other different committee reports were also given.

Two guests present were District II Director Henry Vitek and Brother Dan Balusek. Brother Vitek's speech was informative. Do come again.

Rules and Regulations were read by the 3-member committee and also were pasted in our local lodge building.

One member transferred to another lodge and we gained one member to our local lodge namely, Sister Valerie Kostiha.

As of this meeting we have two members on the sick list: Brother John Svetlik and Brother Frank Svetlik. If there is anyone else sick, please call any member of the sick committee. I'd hate not to report someone's name; it's not done purposely, it's because we are not informed.

LODGE NO. 189, BRYANCOLLEGE STATION Some of the hustle and bustle has subsided at Lodge 189. By now everyone is well aware of the fact that we have been officially chartered. All of our members and many of our friends worked long and hard to make this a successful day. Now that the chartering is behind us, we all can relax for a short while, and breath a sigh of relief, knowing that our work and worrying was not in vain.

There are so many people to thank that I am reluctant to list them for fear that I might leave someone out, not to mention the fact that it would probably take up this entire issue of the Vestnik. However, we are very grateful to Brother Nick Morris, Brother Leonard Mikeska, Brother John Kubena, Brother Ben Trcalek, Bro. Donnie Victorick, and Sister Melinda Faust for their part in the chartering ceremonies. Also to Cullen Mancuso (U-Rent-Um), Ron Valenta (Williams Ins.), Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Arrington (Bond Brick Co.), Brothers Nick Morris, Ben Trcalek, Joe Novo,sad, Jerry Vytopil, Bill Watts, Larry Shenkir Danny Sikorski, and Sister Josephine Shenkir for making our auction a very profitable event.

Jackie Shenkir was the winner of the door prize and their sister Delaine won one of the prizes given by the youth club. don't know if we set a record, but I think everyone will agree that this was definitely the day of the Shenkirs.

The Blue Vest Boys (Country Rhinditions, Inc.) of Caldwell provided an excellent variety of music for our dance. We thank you for making our day complete.

July 24th, several of our members traveled to Seaton for their annual picnic. We had a very enjoyable day and are looking forward to visiting their lodge again.

Our next meeting will be held August 14th, at 3:30 pm., at the KC Hall. I would like to urge all of our members to be present. Although our chartering is behind us, our biggest goal is still ahead of us. We will need your continuing support to turn our dreams into reality.

LODGE NO. 4, HALLETTSVILLE Dear Members: Our next meeting will be our annual Family Day on Sunday, August 14th, at the American Legion Hall in Hallettsville. A noon meal consisting of stew, potatoes, green beans and the trimmings will be served. The ladies of the lodge are asked to donate pickles, peaches, cakes or kolache for the noon meal as usual.

Following dinner a short meeting will be held with the 50-year members to be honored.

They see that we have a great Society and they want to become a part of it. We have so many benefits which they cannot get anywhere else in this area. It is always nice to hear the nice comments by people who come to be with us; some come from as far away as Houston, Pasadena, Sugar Land and other places at Lodge No. 74, in Lovelady.

On Thursday nights we are getting more people to attend our games and everyone seems to have a good time being with each other and the youth enjoy skating.

Brother Wilbur and Sister Adela Gardemal with friends Mike and Wilma Lorenze enjoyed a vacation to Portugal, leaving Houston June 15th and returning home June 29th. This trip was sponsored by the Catholic Daughters. This was the first vacation they have taken in many years, because they have had Adele's elderly parents living with them. Adela's mother, Filomena Fojtik passed away at the age of 87 years in 1971. Her father, Joe Fojtik, lived to the age of 94 years, and passed away in 1978.

Wilbur and Adele, the first years they were members of Lodge 88, were steady visitors at all lodge affairs, but circumstances changed and they were not able to do as before. Adela said that just as soon as everything settles down they will be coming to the lodge again. We will be looking for you.

Brother Homer and Sister Rita Alexander were back at their regular place at Tabl e. No. 8 after a nice vacation of eight days to visit relatives in Union City, Tennessee. They went through Kentucky, Missouri, Louisiana, and Arkansas, adding 1,700 miles on their odometer. They missed out on two Saturday night dances and were glad to be back in the fold with their friends at Lodge 88. We all were glad to see them back.

11 SID POKLADNIK RECALLS FIFTY WONDERFUL YEARS

Fifty years have passed since Cyril (Sid) Pokladnik started his new job as clean-up boy in the sausage room at Rudolph's Market and Sausage Factory. There was brick paving out front along the streetcar tracks on Elm Street, and heaviest trade was on Fridays and Saturdays as customers came from farm and dairy areas like those way out on Mockingbird Lane to stock up for one to two weeks.

Sid has been owner (president) for over 30 years now, and people come from as far off as Houston to stock up on German, Czech, or Polish sausage and fresh meats for their freezers. Many are third or fourth generation customers.

"We are very proud of our continuous following, and we intend to keep giving the very best quality in meats and sausage products," Sid says.

Actually, • Sid is the third proprietor of the 82-year-old firm which sells retail in Dallas and wholesale over much of Texas.

The plant has been updated at different times and now sports shining tile and stainless steel readily meeting requirements of the Texas Department of Health Resources. The sausage and s pe -cialtymesrditbue through special restaurants and barbecue places, with direct retail only at the Elm Street market (2924 Elm).

Rudoiphi's was founded about 1890 by the late Martin Rudolph, although Pokladnik says records go back only to 1895. The location in the present block on Elm was then on the rim of Dallas, and Elm at that point was a dusty road. When Rudolph, who earlier was a sausage maker in Germany, retired in 1912 to return to Germany, he sold to Anton Pavelka, a\ native of Czechoslovakia likewise experienced in. European sausage making.

Sid Pokladnik's interests in meat marketing go back to boyhood days when he worked for a small meat market as delivery boy after school in Foley, Minn., where his family settled after leaving Czechoslovakia. When he was about 14, Sid wrote to an uncle who was working for Rudolph's to ask about

TEYELS HONORED WITH ANNIVERSARY FETE Mr. and Mrs. August Teykl were honored with a golden wedding anniversary open house Sunday, June 26, from a to 5 p.m. at the SPJST Hall in Needville.

The Teykls were married June 28, 1927 in Needville by the late Rev. J. R. Vilt. They have made their home in Needville all of their married life.

Their children, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Fojtik of Guy, Mr. and Mrs. Marion Teykl of Needville and Rev. and Mrs. Charles Teykl of Plainview, along with their grandchildren hosted the occasion.

The guests were registered by granddaughters, Lise Teykl of Plainview and LaShel Teykl of Needville. The round table held the decoupaged anniversary invitation, a triple light candelabrum, guest book and pen.

At a focal point was an original wedding gift, an antiqued table, which held the couple's original wedding picture and an arrangement of yellow roses. Another table held a dozen yellow roses, a gift to the couple from their 10 grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren.

Mrs. Teykl wore a pale green chiffon gown with a corsage of yellow roses trimmed in green and gold. Gold table cloths with lace overlay were used on all the tables along with an arrangement of daisies and yellow gladiolas, votive candles, and for accents, potted green plants.

The three tiered anniversary cake was topped with the symbolic gold numeral 50. The top two tiers were separated by four gold cornucopia and held fresh daisies, yellow pompons and baby s breath.

The cake was trimmed with confections of yellow roses and daisies. It was served by Brenda Eixmann of Needville. The coffee

The youth and their parents arrived early to register for craft, talent and royalty. The day was a full and 'busy event that went smoothly.

Special recognition goes to State Youth Director Dorothy Massey, District VII Director Bob Bayer, District VII President Frank Veselka (timekeeper), Lodge 117 President Eugene Hrncir; these directors and officers added much to our day, not only for the work they did but just for their presence.

Our SPJST Lodge 169 youth went to Camp Val Verde July 22nd and returned July 25th. We had 27 members and 5 adults.

Some activities we held were: swimming, canoeing, horseback riding, archery, and many other activities. It was a lot of fun but it was too hot.

Letters From The Youth LODGE NO. 189, BRYANCOLLEGE STATION We had our last youth meeting July 10th, at the KC Hall. The meeting was called to order by President Mike South, followed by the pledge of allegiance.

The secretary read the minutes of the last meeting. Next, the treasurer's report was given.

We decided to have a money project at our chartering ceremonies and the auction was a success. We had the ceremonies on July 17th, at the Lakeview Club, in Bryan. We will have our next meeting the second Sunday in August, the 14th.

LODGE NO. 84, DALLAS July 16th the SPJST Lodge No. 84, Dallas, held their annual Princess Ball. At 11 p.m. Camille Mandak and Jimmy Liska were crowned queen and king for 19771978. Runner-up queen and king were Barbara Kopecky and Jerry Manak.

Both Jim and I would like to thank everyone who supported us while we were running. It was nice to see so many people interested in helping our teen club.

It really is an honor for both of us and we will do our best in the coming year to represent our teen club and our lodge.

Fraternally, Nancy Martinek - SPJST LODGE NO. 9, SNOOK I do believe camp at Val Verde was one of the best we have had and the hottest. Our DYC, Melinda Faust, did a very good job of coordinating, and of course, Mrs. Massey did a wonderful job, too.

The youth leaders and chaperones also did their share of making camp enjoyable.. All activities were lots of fun, even if it was hot.

LODGE NO. 84, DALLAS On August 3rd, 1977, the teen club of Lodge 84 held their monthly meeting. It was brought to order by President Chris Mandak.

Randy Petr led us in the pledge of allegiance. The secretary's report was read and approved.

We then discussed old business which was the Dist. III YAD on June 26th at Lodge 66, Waco. July 16th we held our annual Princess Ball; Camille Mandak and Jimmy Liska were crowned queen and king. The runner-ups were Barbara Kopecky and Jerry Manak. This year District III camp was held at Camp Val Verde, July 18-21. On July 31st the Distict III Royalty was held in Ennis. Debbie Becan was crowned district queen and Jerry Manak received runner-up.

Both of them are from our lodge and we are very proud of them.

Under new business we discussed sending roses to Debbie Becan to congratulate her for being crowned District III Queen. Then we discussed our trip this year. We will be leaving Monday, August 8th at 9 am. for Galveston. We will have a picnic lunch on the way.

We were informed that this year State Royalty will be held Sept.

24th in Elgin and State YAD will be Sept. 25t2i at Temple High School.

The meeting was then adjourned. Our next meeting will be Monday, August 22nd. We hope to see

more people at the next meeting.

Under old business, which was about the Youth Achievement Day and then the new business was to bring clothes for Goodwill and the trip to the museum in El Campo.

Then we read poems about the Fourth of July.

The meeting was adjourned and refreshments were served.

We all gathered at the park and went swimming. Afterward, we had our regular monthly meeting with 33 members and 21 guests present. President Clare Dorotik called the meeting to order. The pledge was led by Deann Krpec.

Under old business we congratulated all District VI YAD winners. We would like to thank all the mothers who helped out in the kitchen and cake walk. We would also like to thank Mrs. J. W. Krutilek for calling all the mothers to help out.

A poem for August will be "Back to School." Poems were read

by Karen Kahanek and Clare Dorotik about the Fourth of July.

WATERMELON FESTIVAL QUEEN LINDA KASTNER Lodge No. 18 member Linda Iastner was crowned 1977 Teenage Watermelon Festival Queen. Linda is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Morris Kastner of McDade. Congratulations, Linda!

LODGE NO. 18, ELGIN The McDade Watermelon Festival was held recently, with Lodge No. 18 entering a float in the parade. We had a lot of fun, but was it hot! The next parade we entered was our Elgin Western Days Parade on July 23rd.

Dear Vestnik Readers, July 18th everyone met at Betty Macalik's house at . 8 a.m., to leave for camp. We arrived at Camp Val Verde later that morning, had lunch and everyone did a different activity. At night we all met at the tennis court and had a get-acquainted party at night.

Then on Thursday, July 21st we cleaned our cabins, packed our bags and came home.

Attending from our lodge were Suzann, Missy, Amy and Kimberly Macalik, Karen and Michael Honza, Lisa and Kathleen Rejcek, Janet and Vicki Martinek, Laure and Allis Krajca. Chaperones were Betty Macalik, Ade11 and Sharon Rejcek.

July 29th, while at District III camp, the ligeguard blew his whistle and everyone jumped into the pool to have a cool and refreshing swimming party.

The members could invite a guest. We did different things in the pool like play keep away with a tennis ball, went off the slide and we did different stunts off the diving board.

We were having so much fun that we didn't realize the time was up at 9 and the lifeguard blew his whistle for us to get out of the pool.

Funeral services for Mrs. Lydia Schiller, 87, of 1700 Marland Wood Road, Temple, were held at 3 p.m.

May 25, 1977, in Ocker Brethren Church, Ocker. Burial was in Ocker Cemetery. The Rev. Albert Michalik officiated.

Sister Schiller was a Sunday school teacher, a member of Ocker Brethren Church, a charter member of Christian Sisters organization and a member of SPJST Lodge No. 24, in Cyclone.

Survivors are daughters, Mrs. Florine Zabcik of Rosebud and Mrs. Mabel Carnes of Temple; son, Ernest Schiller of Austin; four grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren.
