FROM THE EDITOR'S DESK ' Sunday, July 24th — The promotional efforts of youth leaders, assistants, and other interested parties with the help of its District VI youth counselor, have succeeded in another eventful Youth Achievement Day in District VI. Although the large undertaking of its youth activities for achievement requires a full-time participation -- a one-year period for children from ages 6 through 17 with their leaders' guidance and promotion of items of interest, you will always find youngsters in a large number participating from El Campo, Hallettsville, Hillje, Hungerford, LaSalle, Taiton and Victoria in youth programs. This automatically speaks of its close affiliation with the lodge members and for undertaking, a heavy responsibility without compensation to stimulate interest and good public relations. This Is'about the best type of assessment we would wish to make of the District VI YAD. The arts, crafts, etc., department was well filled with various types of entries and culinary efforts of our youth, of all sorts. A person never ceases to be amazed at the studious will and results of what our youth can achieve and, of course, that includes their talents and ability at public speaking. As mentioned above, the lodges of District VI were well represented and, as
