.OM THE EDEN OIR'S Something new has been added! We could probably say that it is something of a Christmas gift from our publishers, Brother and Sister Linn and Sue Pescaia, of the Cechoslovak Publishing Company, publishers of our SPJST Vestnik, The West News and the Hospodar. November 26, 1976, a brand new Gross Community Offset Web-Fed Press was delivered to the printshop and is practically ready to start operation. It weighs 18,000 pounds and plans are to start printing with it about December 20th or so. We plan to have a picture of it. in operation as soon as possible and tell you more about it. It is difficult' for our average membership, including some rather so-called learned or educated people to.understand what an investment of this type means. This is not just a one-year' investment; it means that many, many rolls of newsprint will have to roll off this press to pay for it and the press has to be kept as busy as possible as much of the time as possible. Brother Pescaia came to your editor in May of 1973 and suggested that we go "offset" with the Vestnik for better print, and pictures; of course this was good news to me, however, additional cost was involved and that was his problem, naturally, not ours. Be stated that he would contract the printing t,0 another company and that if

The Publication Committee deliberated on the contracts, Legal Advisor Lesika.r and your editor sat in with the committee for a very limited time and Brother Lesikar, of course, was asked about some of the legal aspects of the matter. The PC made its recommendation to
the delegates according to their own decision and the delegates made the final one. As editor, I feel the actions of the PC and delegates were wise ones for the good of the future of our Society. Brother Pescaia immediately set in motion the plans to carry 0111, his proposed idea of 1973 and sti it is here.
