All of our sales representatives are to be complimented for their efforts in 1975 Yours truly attended the banquet while Sister Maxine Sefcik, who felt she should be present at Lodge 54's meeting, remained in West. She is the youth leader at Lodge 54. After a delicious meal served at the beginning of the afternoon, DSR Alvin Nesuda opened the evening with appropriate remarks and requested. District III Director Sid Pokladnik and SL President Nick A. Morris to address the group of sales representatives and spouses. They both obliged and of course, all present were requested by Brother Nesuda to introduce themselves. Next SFM Silas Smith was called upon to award the appropriate awards and plaques to the various deserving sales' representatives. TIMELY THOUGHTS A pioneer nowadays is a person whose property tax now exceeds what he paid for the property to begin with. • * Here among twilight's smolder -ing embers, Are some of my sincere egrets. That when / remembers, But when I'm wrong, no one forgets. * * A harried income tax taxpayer irked by the large tax he had to pay, addressed his tax return to the Bureau of Eternal Revenue. * * A man who bowls a perfect game has no time to 'spare.' (SIC) they have to be reprocessed. We will publish them later. • • This coming Sunday, March 21st, marks the beginning of our district meetings for the spring of 1976, this year especially, they are important to all members and certainly our delegates to the 1976 convention. There will be matters, discussed which are of difinite importance to the well-being of our SPJST Society. The first meeting of this spring, 1976, is the District V meeting on the above date at Lodge Stefanik No. 142 in Houston. All members are urged to attend their dis-

In this issue we publish an editorial we have set aside for some weeks. Not too long ago, Mr. Leon Jaworski of Houston, a graduate of Baylor University, came to Waco to present an address. Mr. Jaworski certainly gained the respect of all American citizens of good intent. In addition to his good, sound, and legal judgment he is a man of sincere heartfelt fraternal feelings. By now, probably, all of you are wondering what the intent of these lines really is. In just so many words, it is an attempt to show that a sound level-headed type of judgment, with good common sense is what is essential regardless of the amount of education one
