FROM THE EDITOR'S DESK In this issue I will use the first person in my statements and set aside my editorial I had previously prepared, which can and will be published at a later date due to some information our delegates should know. Brother Robert. Dobecka of Lodge No. 6, Cottonwood, is a member of the Convention Planning Committee and was appointed to gather the details pertaining to the mo tels and hotels available for lodging of our delegates for our forthcoming convention in June, 1976. He came by our office and we worked out a plan, from all the information he had, to try to give all interested parties the best information we have to date. Needless to say, it took much of his valuable time and some of ours, however, it is well worth the effort. On page 3 is a map of what we think the delega es would like to know, including motel/hotel locations, distance from the Waco Convention Center, addresses, telephone numbers, rates and other details. The editorial this week will deal with those details. Let it be stated that the accommodations are listed in alphabetical order so that you can locate them easily and, we feel, it is fair to all this way. As far as is known, at this time, all of these places of accommodations are air-condition-
FOOD FOR THOUGHT Education: Perhaps the most valuable result of all education is the ability to make yourself do the things you have to do, when it ought to be done, whether you like it or not; it is the first lesson that ought to be learned; and however early a man's training begins, it is probably the last lesson that he learns thorou.ghly. * * Criticism/Confidence: Criticism and bitterness come back to the giver in total measure; so do confidence and hope. ed, have televisions, restaurants on the premises or near by, and have swimming facilities available. However, there may be some discrepancies because time did not allow for complete verification of the minute details, therefore, each delegate is requested to make final arrangements individually. My effort has been directed to the attempt to give you the general information as of the present time. Please keep in mind that in my efforts to obtain all the information, time was of the essence and in some cases the managers were unavailable for definite answers pertaining to tax and other inciCentals. It is safe to state that most of the prices quoted will be plus tax. Brother Robert Dobecka has done
a good job and is to be complimented and if some of you wish to contact him or Sister Dobecka, their address is: Robert Dobecka, Rt. 2, West, Texas 76691, and their phone number is 817-826-5663. He acted in behalf of the Planning Comm., as requested, and I thank him for his cooperation. * * The minutes of the last quarterly meeting of the Supreme Lodge are in this issue, under the Supreme Lodge Heading, All are requested to read them carefully and evaluate their contents.
