FROM THE EDITOR'S DESK It is graduation time in most Parts of the state and we certainly wish our graduates the best of luck and life in the future. You are entering life when our country is in economic trouble, however, having lived through the Great Depression of the 1930s, your editor can only advise: Fear not and have faith that the future will certainly brighten. It may take some patience and time, but will certainly have to have an upturn. Rest assured, things and conditions could get worse; let us not allow them to get that way! * * It is obvious by the outpouring of mail this week, especially on 'Thursday and Friday, that we definitely cannot get all the co py into this issue due to the lack of space and, also time. Again we caution our correspondents: Writing a letter on Wednesday and Thursday and sending it in just does not get it here in time! There will be some youth letters, necrology and other material delayed due to the large amount of mall which we have received this week. Those are the woes of editorial work — one week, not enough: the next week, not enough space to put it In We hope our readers and contributors will understand. We certainly do appreciate your contributions to the Vestnik. We probably will move
guage, which they do not speak. You are to be appreciated by all of us and you are! (Pictures will appear in a later issue). *
Here's to you — and your future. We hope that all the endeavors you undertake will be successful ones. the Czech section back and hold back some pictures. We thoroughly enjoyed it and wish to compliment the cast and all for providing the audience with an enjoyable afternoon. Certainly all are to be complimented, and especially Susan Schenburn, Richard Schnell and Frances Vale (all of whom I have known since they were mere youths), for their courage, effort and good results in portraying roles in the Czech Ian-
Here we feel it appropriate to remind our youth and readers that our district youth activity days are in the near future. Indeed, District IV (at Seymour) has its YAD as early as June 8th! Time is fleeting and our youth and youth leaders have very little time to spare. Youth, this is your time of the year in our SPJST, and now is your chance and opportunity to take advantage of what our SPAT youth program has to offer you. At this time of the year, your youth leaders, parents and yes, our entire SPJST membership has its attention drawn to you. Do your bit, youth! You have shown interest in the past years that you can take an active part in talent, arts, crafts, and royalty with outstanding success. Let's make 1975 better than ever! * We're beginning Part II of Bro. John Mesa's history of Sokol Corpus Christi in this issue and do not know how much we will be able to publish this time. We are printing Part II in the English section only and hope that our younger readers will read the history of the Sokol unit.
