SHE EDITOR 7 S DESK Sunday, April 27, Lodge 130, Dallas, hosted the District III spring meeting to another large gathering. The meeting was again an informative and interesting one where those members in attendance always benefit by learning what present conditions arise, especially in the insurance industry, which every member in our Society should be concerned with to be ready to take action to protect a fraternal organization like ours. A message was delivered by SL President Nick Morris pertaining to House Bill 1765, which is of deep concern to an the sales representatives and it should be because this KB 1765 pertains to licensing of sales people. If we are to continue to see our SPJST Society grow, all sales representatives and other interested members should take heed and pursue action to protect our SPJST. It's only human that certain insurance companies dislike the tremendous growth of any fraternal society, because it hurts their business -- mainly because they employ professional sales people; and our Society has part-time sales representatives who probably do as well as their employed people. The youth also held an interesting meeting proving to us members that, if you give our youth an opportunity to carry out their obligations, they will do so happily
