FROM THE EDITOR'S DESK There was an omission in last week's issue (Sept. 4) which we call to your attention. On page 11, under the First Place Beseda Dancers' picture, there was one complete line inadvertently over looked and left out It read: All State YAD photos by Glenn Psencik, unless otherwise indicate& He took nearly all of the State YAD photos and we regret the error. There was also an error made in the outline under the Talent Judges' photo (col. 3, page 18); the third line should halve read: Mrs. Bill Chamlee instead of Mrs. Joe Teakell. Our apologies to Mrs. 13111 Chamlee for omitting her name. For some time now you have been reading much about events and happenings pertaining to Lodge Rozkvet Ruse (Rose in Bloom) No 81, Needy 'lle, and the dedication of (their new air-conditioned lodge home and the celebration connected with it which will officially take place Sunday, September 15th. A complete program of events is published again this week in this issue. Lodge No 81 has always been very active and was very effective in the formulation of our seven-district idea Indeed, not far away from their lodge is our S.P.S.S.T. Rest Home No. II, in Needville. The sales representatives of Lodge No. 81 have served our

WORRY AND FRET Worry and Fret were two little men That, knocked at my door again and again; "0, pray let us in but to tarry a night, And we will be off with the dawning of light." At last, moved by pity, I opened the door To shelter these travelers, hungry and poor; But when, on the morrow, I bade them be gone, They said, quite unmoved, "We'll not hurry on," And deaf to entreaty and callous to threat, These troublesome guests abide with me yet. Society well and have been instrumental in the lodge's growth. The membership of Lodge No. 81 knows the value of progress and continued enthusiasm and strive to keep up with the times; members who have kept the lodge moving ahead during the Great Depression, wars, and hurricanes which often ravage the Coastal Area, are to be commended with high praise for their dedication, determination, and endurance. Needville is in a rich, blackland area, thus promoting farming,

ranching, agri-business, industries, as well as the general run of everyday business. With our Rest Home No. 2 located there, and now a new and modern lodge home for Lodge No. 81, the presence and influence of the SPJST will surely be recognized more than ever in this area of our state, and may it continue to grow in prestige to the honor of our Society. The best is wished for Lodge No. 81, by our entire Society—certainly the future is bright for this outstanding local lodge. Having many longtime friends at Lodge 81, your editor would like to attend this historic event, however, the date conflicts with the District III meeting which will be held in West (the city and home of Cechoslovak Pub. Co., publishers of our Vestnik) at Lodge ,No. 54, West, and we feel we must be present at this meeting. * * Remember the District III fall meeting at Lodge Jaromir No. 54, West. The agenda is printed in the "Letters" section, from the District III Secretary, Frances Popp. Lodge No. 54 is anticipating a large turnout and is planning to host all those attending in the "West way" . . friendly! Attend! * * We are printing a list of the radio stations in Texas which
