FROM THE EDITOR'S DESK District III YAD at Lodge No." 84, Dallas, June 24. (this Sunday). • • In this issue is a report from Vice President Joe B. Hejny showing the amount of insurance which has been written, thus far in 1973, in our seven SPJST districts. Our sales representatives are to be commended! Study these reports. In this week's editorial your editor would like to focus the mirror on the members of Lodge Borovy Hai. (Pine Grove) No 74 at Lovelady (an East Texas pineywoods community) which is located on Highway 19 in Houston County. From the several preceding issues of the Vestnik, you probably are aware of the tremendous progress in growth of this dormant lodge since its reactivation which took place January 16, 1972. Those of us who were in attendance on that day presumably remember the words spoken by Lodge No. 74 President, Brother R. J. Hafner: "I want to see a lodge home built in a few months." There was no doubt in my mind concerning that statement by Brother Hafner, after having known him while he was a member at Lodge 88. Those words were not just mere Words .. his words were taken seriously and effectively which resulted in an image of reality and a signal toward

INDISPENSABLE? Some day when you're feeling important Some day when your ego's in bloom Some day when you have the feeling You're the most important in the room, Take a bucket and fill it with water, Stick your hand in, up to the wrist. Pull it out, and the hole that remains Is a measure of how much you'll be missed. You may splash all you wish when you enter. Stir the water around galore, But you find when you finally leave it, It's exactly the same as before. So, as you follow your daily agenda, Always do the best that you can. Be proud of yourself, but remember, There is no indispensable man. great progress. The 4.8 acres of land that the building structure is built on, was donated by Brother and Sister R. J. Hafner. The members of this dormant lodge arose to a high standard since March 29, 1908, when the lodge organized with approximately 16 charter members and presently consists of approximately 200 members; the rapid increase of membership is credited and accorded to Brother Chester Shmoldas and to Sister Mary Svoboda and Brother Edward Olson, who became sales representatives recently for

their lodge; also you have the local officers and committees who diligently keep a steady pace toward their set goal. This indeed took the teamwork of many persons and your editor cannot help but state that: together the soldiers make the army; together the trees make the forest; together the shingles make the roof; together the bricks make the wall; together the drops of water make Niagara Falls; together the links make the chain, when the members of Lodge Lovelady determined to pursue Brother Baffler's statement during their reaction ceremonies. There is no doubt in the editor's mind that Lodge 74 will reach its goals, especially when you have such a dedicated and conscientious sales representative like Brother Shmoldas who continues to be a district champion in sales of underwriting in District II since he became known among the insurance fellowmen. Their Fourth of July opening ceremonies is fast approaching and it would be thoughtful on everyone's part to make plans on this date to help these jubilant members celebrate its edifice that they strived and anticipated for, for so many years. The official dedication ceremonies will take place September 2, LET'S GIVE THEM OUR STRONG SUPPORT ON BOTH
