FROM THE EDITOR'S DESK LATE SYAD ROYALTY NEWS
EPILOGUE
State Queen Connie Hrncir, District VII (11'7); State King Marvin Patak, District III (135); and State Duchess Leanne Chapman, District VII (117). • Monday, September 4 (Labor Day), your editor received a copy of a letter from Convention Secretary Tillie Helmcamp written to PC Chairman Frances Olexa.. That same day, two other letters were received from, PC Chairman F. Olexa and Convention Secretary Mildred Holman. Sister Helmcamp's letter follows:
It is time for rest, my love; the flame that blazed So high between us now is flickering low. Having known splendor once and having gazed Straight at the sun, now that it is time to go
August 31, 1972 Publication Committee C/o Chairman Frances Olexa Houston, Texas Dear Members, In the convention minutes printed in the August 20th issue of the Vestnik, page 14, middle column, "Text in Appendix" was added to the minutes. We secretaries worked hard to get as accurate minutes as possible, and we do not want anything added to the minutes. Neither Editor Sefcik nor any delegate, officer, or member can add anything to the minutes or the Appendix to the minutes. Furthermore, what text is Brother Sefcik referring to? The paragraph above his added "Text in Appendix" states everything he said. We secre

Futile our eager protests, our fierce disliking; The long, dear road we traveled has reached its end. taries did not receive a copy of any text from Brother Sefcik. Is he perhaps referring to the "statement which was long overdue" which he said he would make later, but he never made that statement during the convention. I am sure that some of us delegates
would like to add to the minutes statements we meant to make but did not make at the convention; I, for one, can think of several. As a convention secretary who wants to see a correct copy of the minutes in the Vestnik, I appeal to you to do something about this addition to our convention minutes. Fraternally yours, Tillie Helmcamp Copies to: Editor Rudy Sefcik SL Pres. Nick A. Morris • 4. Of course the "Text in Appendix" was corrected early Thursday, August 31 as a result of a telqphone call from Convention Secretary Dorothy Tomasek. It appeared on page 1, column 3 of the September 6 issue (third paragraph). The sentence should have read: "(Text after Appendix. —Ed.)", however, your editor just dropped it. .• In view of the above, your editor wishes to refer to Article 52-b in this week's issue (the fourth day's proceedings of the convention). The article (reads incorrectly in the proceedings. Brother Mazanec had read it twice and was asked to read it a third time. Here is the wording taken from the tape: Chmn. Pokladnik: "All right now, the secretaries want only, only the motion, nothing else; restate it." Ed Ma-
